Last season’s top scorer Sam Hoskins has signed a new 2 year contract to stay with Northampton Town.
27 year old Hoskins led the scoring charts as Keith Curle's side won promotion to League 1 in 2019/20, and is the club's longest serving player, having been with Northampton Town for 5 years. Hoskins is closing in on 200 appearances for the Cobblers, having scored 32 goals.
"I am really pleased that Sam has signed his new contract," said Curle.
"He played a big role for us last season, he scored some important goals and helped create others and as we said with Michael Harriman, Sam is also a player whose journey is not yet complete. He has that hunger and that desire to keep improving and to keep getting better, and I think Sam's game is continuing to develop.
"He also has a fantastic attitude and work ethic and you can't have too many characters like that in your dressing room.
"From a manager's point of view, he has that versatility that allows him to adapt and play a number of different roles and that is important during a season.
"Sam is at an excellent age, he has a good amount of experience under his belt and we are looking forward to working with him again. We are really pleased to have retained his services.”
