Northampton Town Ladies have appointed Frankie Smith as the new manager of their newly formed Ladies Development Squad for the 2020/2021 season.
Frankie has an extensive coaching and management history in both adult and youth football, with a big focus on girls football in his later career.
He has worked in the Community Trusts at AFC Wimbledon, MK Dons and AFC Rushden & Diamonds over his career as well as managing the Old Bradwell FC men’s team before coaching at MK Dons Girls Elite Centre U16’s where he found his passion for female football.
Frankie has most recently been involved with girls football at MK City and Willen FC over the past number of years.
In preparation to start his new role Frankie said, “I am excited to take this role as the Manager of the Northampton Town Ladies Development Team, which will give me the opportunity to help develop players and hopefully to feed them into the first team. I cant wait to get started!”
The Ladies Development side will take part in the Northants Macron Women’s & Girls league for the 2020/2021 season. A reminder that the side is currently on the look out for new players, details of which you can find on the Northampton Town Ladies social media channels.
