KEITH CURLE PRAISES RUTHLESSNESS OF HIS TEAM IN WIN OVER MORECAMBE

Cobblers boss Keith Curle felt his side were ruthless in beating Morecambe 4-1 at the PTS Academy Stadium on Saturday, Paul Anderson, Ryan Watson, Nicky Adams and Chris Lines all on target. The result lifted the Cobblers up to 6th in the Sky Bet League 2 table and just two points off the automatic promotion places.

“The goals were good and it shows everybody is chipping in which is important,” he said.

“Chris Lines took his goal really well and the longer the game went on the more we were seeing of why we bought him to the football club.

“Paul Anderson’s attitude has been first class and he’s bought in to what we are trying to create.

“During a game I try not to interact with the crowd too much because I like to stay focus but there is no doubt our supporters, both home and away, play a massive part.

“Derek Adams has done a good job, Morecambe will cause teams problems and it was a difficult game.

“Tuesday is our focus now because that’s another opportunity for us to represent Northampton Town and to try and get three points.

“We won’t be resting anybody and we will be going there to try and win.

“We want to continue this momentum and our preparation won’t change.”
