Cobblers boss Keith Curle has spoken about the January transfer window, which is now open.
“We are always looking to bring in players who can improve us and that’s all part of the upward curve we are on,” he said.
“The recruitment cycle never stops and I’m really pleased with that department.
“Recruitment is vital and there is a lot of hard work that goes on behind the scenes.
“We’ve been dealt a blow with the injuries to Harry Smith and Shaun McWilliams and that leaves us a bit light. I’m not expecting either of them to be back before the end of January.
“There has been one or two bits of interest in some of our players to go out on loan but with those injuries we need to make sure we have enough cover before we let anybody out.
“I understand those players wanting more game time but any move has to be right for us as well as for the player.”
