The Northampton Town Ladies were in action on Sunday afternoon when they welcomed Loughborough to the Spencer Community Trust ground at Kingsthorpe Mill in the East Midlands Women's Regional Football League.
The Cobblers made a strong start and Mollie Marshall, Cesca Partridge, Sara Wait and Abbie Brewin all went close in the first 20 minutes, but with 27 minutes on the clock the visitors took the lead.
Mollie Marshall shot just over the bar a few minutes later as Northampton Town looked to respond, but the Cobblers found themselves a goal down at the break.
With just under an hour played, the Cobblers were deservedly level when Cesca Partridge latched on to a loose ball in the Loughborough penalty area before firing home in to the net.
Partridge was close to a second on the 70 minute mark, before, as the game entered the last 15 minutes, Marshall saw her effort saved.
The final chance of the game went the way of the visitors, but a free kick was sent over the bar, meaning the points were shared.
