Northampton Town Ladies beat their Kettering Town counterparts 7-0 in their East Midlands Women's Football League game at Moulton College on Sunday afternoon.

Abbie Reboul gave the Cobblers the lead on 15 minutes, before turning provider two minutes later when she played a ball in behind the defence for Aimee Smith to score.

Seven minutes in to the second half and the lead was extended to three, Emma Billenness firing in a free kick off the post from 25 yards. Sara Wait then had a header disallowed for a push but the fourth goal did follow soon enough, Smith heading home her second of the game from Abbie Brewin's corner.

The fifth goal arrived on the hour, Cesca Partridge finding the net while three minutes later it was the turn of skipper Alex Bartlett to get her name on the scoresheet in style, firing home from 25 yards.

Partridge netted her second with another long range finish on 65 minutes and that was how the scoring ended, the Cobblers tempo checked by an injury to Emma Billenness which meant they played the last 15 minutes with ten players.
