Cobblers boss Keith Curle says he knows his squad face a tough game with the visit of high-flying and in-form Exeter City to the PTS Academy Stadium on Saturday, but that confidence and belief remains high.
“We are capable of beating anybody in this league,” he said.
“The way we play and with the personnel we have got we will create opportunities but we need to score goals at crucial times.
“Defensively we need to get back to basics, we’ve got good defenders but we need to get back to defending our box.
“We have had a busy run but I’m not a big believer in mental tiredness. The players get enough time to recover physically and mentally but having no midweek game this week has given us a bit more time to do some more work on the analysis side of things.
“This week has allowed us to reset a few things and there are things that we need to improve on but that can start higher up the pitch as well.”
