Cobblers boss Keith Curle is calling on the supporters to maintain their belief ahead of Saturday’s home game with Exeter City.
“The supporters know what we are about and this is the time now the players need their support,” he said.
“We believe and the supporters need to keep that belief too.
“It’s easy to manage a team when they are winning but this is what I get paid for. I’m always identifying areas where we can improve individually and collectively and the players need to maintain the belief that got us on the good run we had.
“Crucial things aren’t going our way at the moment but I’ve always said to change things you need to work harder.
“There were some very pleasing aspects in the first half on Saturday but in the second half there was poor decision making and some lazy defending.
“We’ve got an honest environment and I know and the players know the second half on Saturday was nowhere near good enough.”
