KEITH CURLE PRAISES TRAVELLING SUPPORT

The Cobblers boss looks back on Tuesday's visit to Pride Park

Cobblers boss Keith Curle praised the travelling 4,000 plus supporters as he reflected on Tuesday night’s Emirates FA Cup fourth round replay at Pride Park.

“First and foremost I have to say the travelling support was phenomenal and they are truly representative of what we are trying to build at the football club,” he said.

“We are very appreciative of that support, we believe in what we are trying to do and seeing those supporters here tonight makes us proud.

“We’ve had a fantastic cup run and we were here tonight on merit. In the first half I felt we needed to get into Derby a little bit more and we needed to slow them down a little bit.

“We needed to make it more of a cup tie, they have got good players and at times they stretched us.

“We competed with them and we kept going right until the end. My players will do that because that’s what I demand of them.

“We’ve got some big games coming up in the league, the momentum and belief is building and one thing I can guarantee is the fans will play their part.”
