JUNIOR COBBLER ARCHIE HAD A GREAT DAY AS A MASCOT AT THE SWINDON TOWN GAME

Parents contact the club to say Archie had a fantastic time

13 February 2020

We were delighted to receive the below email from Mr and Mrs Brassington after their son Archie was chosen from Junior Cobblers members to be a mascot at the Swindon Town game.

Having won the chance to be a mascot, Archie being a Junior Cobbler, he could not believe that he won the prize of being a matchday mascot for the Swindon Town match.

We were all excited for him, what an amazing opportunity. Unfortunately, due to traffic issues, we were unable to meet, Keith Curle and the players in the dressing room, but Phil and the rest of the Players Lounge staff made us so welcome and were so friendly and helpful.

Archie loved the kick around with the other mascots on the pitch, having a photo with Sam Hoskins and best of all walking out with the players down the tunnel. An unexpected surprise for my our youngest son, Harry, was invited onto the side of the pitch to flag wave, we thought it was such a lovely kind gesture of the staff, Harry absolutely loved it and was singing "Shoe Army " as he waved the flag.

Archie was buzzing after the experience, he wanted to do it all again and loved every minute of it. I thought the whole experience was awesome and it was great to share that moment with my son. I also loved, winning the signed football, as I was within 5 of guessing the correct attendance at the game.

What we love, is what the club do for the kids and the community. We just wanted to say a massive thank you to you, Phil and the rest of the Players Lounge staff.

Please also could you pass on our thanks to the parents of Masie and Archibald who were very kind to Archie as he missed the players dressing room experience and they all got on so well and experienced it all together, Archie said meeting the two other mascots was part of the very special day. Thank you again for arranging all of this for Archie.

Archie was chosen to be a mascot as he is a Junior Cobblers member and membership is free for under 12s. Make sure that young supporter you know is a member of Junior Cobblers to be in with a chance of being chosen for a future game, or to book a mascot package, please email christine.clark@ntfc.co.uk
