SELECTION DECISIONS FOR KEITH CURLE AHEAD OF OXFORD TRIP

The views of the Cobblers boss

15 December 2020

With Cian Bolger, Joe Martin and Shaun McWilliams all suspended and Alan Sheehan a doubt, Cobblers boss Keith Curle has limited options for Tuesday night’s away game at Oxford United.

“We’ve got a lot of players unavailable but whatever team we put out we will be competitive,” he said.

17-year old Max Dyche made his debut on Saturday and Curle has praised the youngster’s attitude since making the step up from the academy.

“Max is just starting out on his journey and he’s shown a fantastic attitude. He’s trained with us and done very well.

“He’s got a great opportunity to go and get himself involved in the mix. I had good conversations with Jon Brady about Max and he said he would give you everything he’s got and he needed that next step up and that next challenge.

“It’s not just about identifying talent it’s about identifying when is the right time to promote that talent and I think we do that well.”
