KEITH CURLE ON CHANGES THE SQUAD ARE MAKING FOR LEAGUE 1

The Cobblers boss previews the visit of Fleetwood Town

1 December 2020

Cobblers boss Keith Curle has spoken about the changes the squad are making as they adapt to life in League 1 as the group prepare for Tuesday night’s home game with Fleetwood Town.

“We are still adjusting to a new division, we had a style of play for League 2 last season and I think we’ve found we need to manipulate that slightly for League 1,” he said.

“The application, work ethic and willingness to work hard is all there in the changing room and now it’s the fine margins that we need to hone in on.

“Fleetwood have got some good players and they are able to rotate and change their formation within games.

“They have got a very competitive squad and they did very well last season.

“I think they have gone a little bit higher tempo and high press this season and they are a very energetic side. They get on the front foot and it will be a very good test for us."
