Cobblers boss Keith Curle was pleased with what he saw as he reflected on Saturday’s pre-season friendly win over Leyton Orient.
“It was good to get some minutes into the players and have a look at some of the trialists,” he said.
“They’ve done okay in training but it was important for us to see them in a competitive environment.
“We made a lot of changes in the second half which was always going to change the flow of the game but I thought we played at a good tempo.
“We are still looking to add to what we already have in the squad and there will be some more additions but the fit has got to be right for the football club, right for me and right for the team."
