Northampton Town will take on Cardiff City in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
The tie will be played at the PTS Academy Stadium on Saturday September 5th with a 3pm kick off.
The match will be behind closed doors, but the club will confirm streaming plans in accordance with the EFL in due course.
Meanwhile, the club's pre-season fixture with Luton Town on Saturday August 29th will now kick off at the earlier time of 1.30pm.
