Northampton Town Chairman Kelvin Thomas says he is very proud of the club's community work at all times, and this Coronavirus pandemic has just illustrated once again what a cherished part of the Northampton community the club are.
Staff and players are calling and messaging supporters to check on them during the current lockdown, and Thomas says the work fills him with enormous pride.
"Our community work is something I am very proud of," he said.
"Everyone has really stepped up and we have impacted people's lives in a very positive way. It has been a humbling and uplifting experience for me to be involved in some of these calls and we will continue to do all we can to help as many people as we can, young and old. It is having a really positive impact in a very difficult situation.
"Football is a very close family. It is so much more than 3pm on a Saturday and this just proves that. We are very proud of who we are, what we do and how many people we help. This just showcases a very small part of what we do, the lives that we can touch and those who we help in tough times."
