The Northampton Town youth team welcomed Stevenage to Moulton College on Saturday for their latest EFL Youth Alliance fixture.
A goal from Jordan Fowler and a Haydn Price penalty secured a 2-1 win for the Cobblers as their impressive start to the season continued.
"The football we played in the first half was some of the best football we've played this season," said under 18s coach Jon Brady.
"Jordan's goal came from a corner and Haydn's penalty came after a good run from Caleb Chukwuemeka.
"I wasn't too happy with our performance last week even though we won the game, the boys took that on board, they have worked hard this week and this was a much improved performance."
