Cobblers boss Keith Curle was left frustrated as he reflected on Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Morecambe.
“We did enough first half without really getting into our stride,” he said.
“In the second half we needed to get on the front foot but we camped in and invited pressure.
“We need to gain that winning mentality to see games out, we’ve done that at Swindon and Stevenage this season but we are not a team who can sit back.
“The goals we conceded were poor, sometimes you learn from getting a smack in the face and it’s how you react to that.
“The signs are there that we are heading the right way but there is still lots of work to do.”
