Cobblers boss Keith Curle is determined to ensure his side are well prepared for Tuesday night’s trip to Stevenage.
“Our mindset and mentality need to be right,” he said.
“My job is to make sure we don’t get too carried away with a good performance and result on Saturday and it’s probably quite good we are straight back into work mode with a game against Stevenage.
“We’ve shown in glimpses what we can produce but we need to produce more of that on a consistent basis.
“Tuesday night is another good opportunity for us to try and improve our level of consistency.
“The mindset of the players all last week was excellent, they took on board all the information we gave them and their attitude and application throughout training was very good.
“Newport are where they are in the league because they have a level of consistency week in week out and that is what we are striving to do.”
