Cobblers boss Keith Curle says he is expecting an open and entertaining match as he previews Saturday’s clash with Newport County at the PTS Academy Stadium.
“I’m expecting an end to end game,” he said.
“Newport have got an air of confidence about them, they have an understanding about how they want to play, they have got good ball retention and they get balls in to the right areas.
“We’ve been competitive in every game and Saturday will be no different.
“Both teams will look to get on the front foot and look to dominate possession in the opposition half.
“Newport will look to put the ball into our box at every possible opportunity and we need to make sure we defend well whilst looking to get on the front foot ourselves.”
