Keith Curle has confirmed that a number of his first team squad are nearing a return to fitness.
Alan McCormack, Steve Arnold and Reece Hall-Johnson are the closest, and Curle is hopeful that a return is not far away.
“Two of those three have been given a full, clean bill of health,” he said.
“They have returned to training and now it’s about those players following the right protocol, they need time on the training pitch doing the football specifics that are required.
“We had a game in the week which one of those players was involved in and we will see how they react after that.”
Striker Harry Smith is meanwhile available for selection on Saturday after serving a one-match ban.
