All three of Northampton Town's young professionals who are out on loan started for their temporary clubs on Saturday.
The trio had a day of mixed emotions. Ryan Hughes and Morgan Roberts lined up for AFC Rushden & Diamonds in their BetVictor Southern League Premier Central clash with Coalville Town. Both played 90 minutes, with Roberts being named man of the match for his performance.
Meanwhile, Jay Williams appeared for Kettering Town in their Vanarama League North game against Spennymoor Town, but he was sent off in the first half of the game that the Poppies lost 2-0.
