Cobblers boss Keith Curle says he is pleased his squad have a midweek game as he looked ahead to Tuesday night’s Leasing.com Trophy tie at Cambridge United.
“There is never a bad time to have a game,” he said.
“When you lose a game at whatever level you want the next game to come quickly and we are no different.
“I’m expecting a very competitive game at Cambridge no matter what players get picked and both sides will be looking for a positive result.
“Saturday was another missed opportunity, we are showing glimpses of what we can do in some games, but we are not maintaining it.
“We are not being calm enough in possession when we get into the final third, sometimes we are too rushed and sometimes we have to be honest and say it’s down to poor technique.
"There are little intricacies within individuals that we need to get honed to make sure we are all on the same page.”
