JORDAN TURNBULL SET TO MISS ORIENT CLASH

Turnbull to serve one match suspension

3 October 2019

Jordan Turnbull is set to serve a one match ban against Leyton Orient after picking up his fifth yellow card of the campaign in Saturday’s draw at Morecambe.

“Jordan is disappointed and I think Charlie Goode is only one caution away from the same,” said boss Keith Curle.

“Jordan has been a crucial part of the team but when one player steps out it is an opportunity for someone else.

“We’ve got a small squad but it’s a very competitive squad and all the players are chomping at the bit wanting that opportunity.

“We’ve got players who haven’t been playing recently who are desperate to get back in and that’s the competition we want.

“Alan McCormack is getting closer, we’ve slightly changed his return to playing structure and we are doing more football-based rehab with him.

“We’ve missed key personnel so far this season - Alan, Ryan Watson, Steve Arnold, Reece Hall-Johnson etc but we’ve still been competitive and that is pleasing.”
