Cobblers boss Keith Curle is expecting nothing less than a very tough game as he previews the visit of Salford City on Saturday.
“Salford have adapted well and they are very competitive for this division,” he said.
“Like every team they have individuals with quality and they have had some very good results.
“They have adjusted to every division they’ve been in with the players they have recruited and this season is no different.
“We know this is a building season for us and the supporters are very much a part of that process. They will be frustrated, angry and annoyed with last Saturday but they will have seen glimpses of what we are trying to create, but we need to be much more consistent than we have been. That will come by doing the fundamentals well over and over until they become second nature.
“We are on a long journey and we want the supporters with us every step of the way.”
