COBBLERS SQUADS PERFORM WELL IN BOBI LEAGUE FESTIVAL ON SUNDAY

A report from Sunday's multi disability action

21 October 2019

The first BOBI (Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Inclusive League) festival of the season took place at Oxford City on Sunday. The BOBI League is a football league providing regular footballing opportunities for children and adults who have physical and learning difficulties.

The Cobblers entered their Championship, League, League Development, League 1 and Conference teams in the league. The photograph shows the Northampton Town Development squad who performed really well in what was the first introduction to adult football for some of the players. The team won two, drew one and lost one of their four games

Any players with a disability are welcome to attend the Northampton Town Disability football coaching sessions on a Friday at Moulton College from 6pm to 7.30pm. For more details please email Russell Lewis at r.lewis@ntfc.co.uk.

Another initiative the disability programme is developing is to attract more players for the under 16 age group, coaching is starting on Tuesday 12 November at the International Academy in the centre of Northampton. Again, please contact Russell for further information.
