KEITH CURLE PAYS TRIBUTE TO ALAN McCORMACK AS MIDFIELDER REACHES 500 SENIOR APPEARANCES

The Cobblers boss looks ahead

Alan McCormack is set to make his 500th career appearance on Sunday and boss Keith Curle has paid tribute to the midfielder’s professionalism ahead of the Emirates FA Cup second round tie with Notts County at the PTS Academy Stadium, kick-off 2pm.

"500 games is a great milestone," he said.

"Alan is a competitor and he wants to play and win in every game.

“He sets himself very high standards and he has got very high expectations and demands of other people who he shares the changing room with.

“When he walks in the building Alan expects a professional environment for him to work in, that’s what we are trying to create and we want that to become second nature for the players.”
