Shaun McWilliams is set for a few weeks on the sidelines after undergoing an appendix operation last weekend but boss Keith Curle has options heading into this weekend’s Emirates FA Cup first round tie with Chippenham Town.
“We’ve got a competitive squad and we’ve got players who have been out injured and that have been on the fringes that could come in,” he said.
“The likes of Reece Hall-Johnson, Michael Harriman, Billy Waters and Egli Kaja are all perfectly capable and they are all pushing hard to be involved.
“Losing Shaun McWilliams is a blow and we are a little bit light in that area with Ryan Watson still out but it’s an opportunity for someone else to come in.
“Ryan Watson and Steve Arnold are both back in training and Joe Martin is just over a week away from hopefully being back out on the grass as well.”
