KEITH CURLE SAYS COBBLERS WILL BE PREPARED FOR GRIMSBY AS HE CONFIRMS RYAN WATSON'S RETURN TO TRAINING

An update from the Cobblers boss

Cobblers boss Keith Curle says his side will be well prepared for Saturday’s home game with Grimsby Town.

“Our respect for the opposition doesn’t change and Grimsby will have strengths and weaknesses like any other side we play,” he said.

“Because of the strikers they’ve got, they can cause any team in this division problems.

“They played very well in the first half against Newport on Wednesday night and despite the changes they have had in the last week or so that doesn’t take away from the fact that they have got some very good players.

“We want to win every game but we need to make sure we keep playing on the front foot.

“We were clinical against Crewe and so long as we keep creating chances we know we will score goals."

Curle has meanwhile confirmed that Ryan Watson returned to training this week. The midfielder has been out for the last couple of months after suffering a broken collarbone.

“Ryan has been given the all clear.

“He trained this week and he’s chomping at the bit.”
