As part of the Premier League Kicks programme, the Northampton Town Community Trust visited Croyland Primary School in Wellingborough to deliver ‘Fearless’ training with year 5 and 6.
The Northampton Town Community Trust's Business Development Officer, Anna Letts, led an assembly on ‘Fearless’, a campaign run via Crimestoppers. The website provides a way for young people to anonymously report crime. Please see fearless.org/en
The site also provides teachers and professionals with a range of resources to raise awareness around crime; including gangs, county lines, anti-social behaviour, drugs, vandalism.
These educational workshops are being offered free to schools as part of the social action aspect of the Premier Legaue Kicks programme. Children from Croyland Primary and Weavers School attend the weekly evening football sessions in Kingsway and Queensway. The football sessions are aimed at providing positive activities for young people and to improve relationships with the police, the crime education workshops reinforce this with the Fearless message.
PCSO Phil Dobson who supports the football sessions at Kingsway, led a workshop on anti-social behaviour and Weavers Academy sent their anti-bullying ambassadors to deliver an anti-bullying workshop around this year’s national theme; 'Change starts with us'.
