KEITH CURLE HOPING FOR BIG CROWD TO ROAR THE COBBLERS ON AS HIGH FLYING CREWE COME TO TOWN

Mouthwatering fixture at the PTS Academy Stadium on Saturday

11 November 2019

Northampton Town manager Keith Curle is hoping to see the Cobblers fans right behind the team when Crewe Alexandra visit the PTS Academy Stadium on Saturday.

The Cobblers have won five and drawn one of their last seven games in all competitions, scoring twelve goals and keeping five clean sheets in the process.

Saturday's opponents are 4th in the table, just five points ahead of the Cobblers, and Curle is looking forward to the match.

"It should be a cracking match," he said.

"We are hoping there will be a big crowd in for what should be a really good game.

"It will be a clash between two teams who go about their business in slightly different ways. Each team will try and earn the right to impose their method on the game and we will certainly be up for the battle.

"Good results don't just happen. We need to be competitive and we are at our best when we are aggressive, when we are on the front foot and when we get close to the opposition.

"Saturday will be our first home game for three weeks, we have been in decent form and we know we can close the gap on some of the teams above us so it should make for an exciting game."
