Cobblers captain Charlie Goode says the home crowd can play an important part as the Cobblers prepare for Saturday’s clash with 4th placed Crewe Alexandra at the PTS Academy Stadium.

“We started the season relatively slowly but we feel like the momentum is really building,” he said.

“Crewe have done well but Saturday is an opportunity for us to close the gap, we feel like we are really starting to build something now and we want to keep that unbeaten run going.

“After the start we had we really wanted to make it a fortress here and I think we have started to do that in the last few weeks.

“The fans have been a big part of that, they have been brilliant for us and hopefully as many of them as possible can come on Saturday.

“The fans have been on our side brilliantly both at home and away and if we can get a big crowd in on Saturday that is only going to help us.”

A big crowd is expected, but tickets for the game remain on sale via ntfcdirect.co.uk
