JOHN-JOE O'TOOLE NOT TAKING UP CONTRACT OPTION

Midfielder heading for pastures new

21 May 2019

Northampton Town can announce that midfielder John-Joe O'Toole has decided not to take up the option in his contract and has left the club.

30 year old O'Toole spent five years as a Northampton Town player, making 159 starts and 35 substitute appearances, scoring 35 goals, although he was restricted to 27 first team starts in 2018/19, the last of which came at Cheltenham Town on March 23rd.

Everyone at Northampton Town Football Club would like to thank John-Joe O'Toole for his time as a Northampton Town player and wish him every success with his future career.

The club have already welcomed Matt Warburton, Joe Martin, Chris Lines and Harry Smith to the PTS Academy Stadium this summer, and talks remain ongoing with a number of other transfer targets.
