Northampton Town's matchday programme, The Cobbler, has been named runner up in the Programme Monthly League 2 Programme of the Year awards.
Our congratulations to Exeter City who won the award with Mansfield Town in third.
Written and edited by the club and designed and produced by Weatherbys in Wellingborough, The Cobbler is available every home matchday and Programme Monthly had this to say about this season's issue.
"An excellent production. Advertising is at a reasonable level and the editor has ensured that there is plenty of decent articles to fill the remaining pages. Excellent historical content, and the rest of the articles are laid out in a logical fashion to give a real sense of continuity to the issue.
"For the home team there’s a 'First, Favourite and Choices' Q&A session with a player where they get five or six questions in each section. There’s an excellent article about a long standing fan who still goes to most home games.
“'Remembering Former Cobblers' is an enjoyable read. Opposition notes are five pages long and very detailed. There’s a look back at six former players who had two spells at the club. There’s also brief details of four previous games between the two clubs. 'Diary of a Decade' is another good read. The Cobblers’ youth team get a good match report and overleaf there’s details of their younger Academy counterparts. Other community based news gives the reader a real sense of being involved with the club."
