Cobblers boss Keith Curle is expecting an open game as he previews Saturday’s home clash against promotion chasers Exeter City, kick off 2pm.
“Saturday will be an interesting challenge and all the players are looking forward to it,” he said.
“I think Exeter will be coming here to try and win the game. Given their league position they can afford to take a risk to try and win a game and I think they will come here to attack us.
“Our focus is purely on our results and what other teams do is down to them.
“I know where we are in the league and the focus from the group is solely on our results and performances.
“As a manager and a coach you always want to win and put in a performance in front of your home fans. Our home record is decent and if we could have turned a few of the draws we’ve had in to wins we would be closer to the top seven.
“There is a good focus about the group and I think I touched on that after the game last Saturday. That’s not just the starting eleven or the travelling eighteen it’s the whole squad.”
