KEITH CURLE - 'EVERYBODY PLAYED THEIR PART'

The views of the Cobblers boss

2 March 2019

Cobblers boss Keith Curle praised the focus of the whole squad following Saturday’s away win at Crewe.

“There has been a real focus about the group this week,” he said.

“I felt three points were available for us today if individually and collectively we did our jobs and that was my last message to the players. We did everything that was needed and required of us today but we can still do more.

“I thought we stopped Crewe from playng, nullified their threat and proved that we can score goals away from home against a good footballing team.

“There were probably a few eyebrows raised with the selection of Daniel Powell but if players perform in training they will get an opportunity. Powelly earned that right.

“We take results as they come and we are still implementing the culture and the environment that we need at the football club.

“Everybody played their part today and that’s not just the starting eleven or the players on the bench it’s the whole squad. The environment in the squad is growing and the players are really buying in to what we are trying to do.”
