Saturday's game against Port Vale is Northampton Town's Community Day, and gives the club a chance to show case the work the club does in the community under the banner of the Northampton Town Community Trust.
Formed in 1994 and becoming a charity in 2001, the mission of the Northampton Town Community Trust is to use the unique appeal of Northampton Town Football Club to deliver activities that connect and improve lives. The work the Community Trust deliver covers five core themes of health, education, sports participation, disability and Northampton Town experiences supporting people of all ages across Northamptonshire.
Saturday's activities will include 5 a side football for youngsters on the pitch behind the Sheinman Opticians Stand, face painting and a chance to meet some players alongside all of the usual fun in the Mick George family area, a lap of honour around the pitch from the Northampton Town Ladies, girls, multi disability and walking football squads with some of the teams also providing some half time demonstrations on the pitch.
