Assistant manager Colin West has been speaking about new signing Reece Hall-Johnson and the club’s transfer business over the summer so far.
“Reece is a young, athletic lad with decent pace who can play in a number of different positions,” he said.
“That versatility is important and I think it gives a good flexibility to the team.
"He can play right back, right wing back, right sided centre back and he has even played as a left sided centre back too."
Hall-Johnson is the ninth player to put pen to paper for the Cobblers so far this summer, and West says the staff are delighted with the backing they have received from Chairman Kelvin Thomas and the Board of Directors.
“We are more than happy with the work we’ve done so far, the Chairman and the board have backed us really well and I think that has put us at the front of the queue for players," he said.
“The way we’ve done our business has sent a message out and players have come in because they have seen who we have signed before.
“We are still looking to progress and get better and if we can bring in any player we think will improve us then we will try and do that.”
