Chief Scout Simon Tracey is delighted with the signing of goalkeeper Steve Arnold.
Tracey knows a fair bit about goalkeeping, having played in goal more than 340 times for Sheffield United, as well as working as a Goalkeeping Coach at a number of clubs.
“Steve is a great acquisition for us and to sign a player who played 30 games in League One last season is a statement in itself,” he said.
“He will provide excellent competition for David Cornell and that’s something we didn’t have last year.
“There is plenty more to come from him and hopefully goalkeeping coach Dan Watson will get that. Steve didn't halve a full time Goalkeeping Coach until last season and we feel he can get better and better with us.
"He is a good size, he can be dominant when crosses come in to our area and he is a presence."
