SIXFIELDS TRAVEL CLUB TO SUPPORT THE CLUB ON THE PRE-SEASON TOUR

Supporters backing the players at the pre-season training camp

25 June 2019

The Sixfields Travel Club, are once again travelling to Spain in July to support the Cobblers at their pre-season training camp.

Keith Curle’s squad will be based at the Pinatar complex near Alicante from Sunday July 7th until Saturday July 13th, with one public game, against Coventry City, to take place on Friday July 12th.

As has happened in the past we expect the Cobblers to be backed by a number of supporters at that game, with the travelling Sixfields Travel Club party set to be in attendance as part of their trip which is taking place from Tuesday July 9th to Sunday July 14th.

“We are delighted that the Sixfields Travel Club and other supporters are coming over to follow us and we thank not only Barry and Jenny Parker but all supporters travelling with the group as well as those making their own plans to travel,” said manager Keith Curle.

“It means a lot to us that the Sixfields Travel Club have organised a trip to travel to Spain for a few days, it will be a big boost for the players in the second half of what will be a tough week.

“There will be a number of opportunities for those travelling to see the squad – both in our training sessions on the Thursday and in the match on Friday and to also enjoy some time in the squad’s company after the game as they get to know the new players.

“This will be a big week for the players, they will be training a number of times each day, it will be an intense time and will really allow us to push forward with our plans for the new season.

“The facilities we will have at our disposal are excellent and are used by a number of Premier League clubs. We think this week will be of huge benefit to us.”

Supporters at the complex are invited by the Cobblers boss to attend both of Thursday’s training session and the game with Coventry City on the Friday (5pm kick off local time.) Plus, following the Coventry City game, there will be a meet and greet opportunity for those supporters present to spend some time with the squad.

The club will confirm the start time of the training on the Thursday during the week of the training camp.
