The new look Northampton Town squad for the 2019/20 season is taking shape, with a number of new faces having already put pen to paper with more set to follow!
Have you joined the likes of Nicky Adams, Alan McCormack, Steve Arnold, Ryan Watson, Harry Smith, Joe Martin, Chris Lines and Matt Warburton in putting pen to paper for 2019/20 yet?
It is fair to say the new signings have got supporters excited ahead of the new season. Adams, McCormack, Watson and Warburton all helped their previous clubs be promoted last season, and social media is buzzing with Northampton Town fans looking ahead.
"This is <censored> fantastic!!" said @danielmould on Twitter following the announcement of Nicky Adams signing for the club, while @james_e_bland was still on a high some 24 hours later. "Please can we undo yesterday so I can have the thrill of this tweet landing again today please? Still buzzing about this," he tweeted.
@SherbsterSteve added: "Now that is a signing. Worth a season ticket on its own!" @Iangardner1 agreed: "No way!!!! hahaaaa that's worth a season ticket on it's own."
The signing of back to back promotion winner and former Luton Town midfielder Alan McCormack also went down very well:
"@ntfc fans must be queuing for season tickets with this news and the replies below. All I can add is I felt he was good enough to go again in the Championship let alone play in Division Two. Great signing," tweeted Luton Town fan @cbHatternew
@SiintheYate added, "Absolutely brilliant signing for the Cobblers. You won't find a better midfield leader than this in League 2. Or League 1 for that matter."
@bradley_star said: "Probably signing of the season in that league!!! Very good Centre defensive midfielder. He do a great job."
Goalkeeper Steve Arnold was the third arrival of a busy Wednesday, with @willarthur13 tweeting: "Class keeper you lot have got."
We could go on and on, but you can check social media out for yourselves!
Those signings on Wednesday were added to the previous signings of Matt Warburton, Joe Martin, Chris Lines, Harry Smith and Ryan Watson and with Keith Curle in talks with further targets, we are looking forward to the 2019/20 season - we hope you are too.
