KEITH CURLE TELLS PLAYERS TO EXPECT TOUGH PRE-SEASON WITH CLUB'S IMPROVED TRAINING FACILITIES

Cobblers boss ready to work squad hard over next few weeks

Keith Curle has told his players to expect a tough pre-season, as he prepares to put them through an intense few weeks.

Aside from the training camp in Spain, much of the work will take place using improved facilities at the club's Moulton College training base.

“We are able to use the two new pitches up at Moulton that Paul Knowles has prepared and the youth team have now got access to the pitches the first team used last season," he said.

"We also have some new buildings on the way and that shows how far we have come. For the first team we want that more focused concentrated environment that is a little bit more private and secluded.

“It’s a challenging demanding environment that we will be putting the players through and that is mentally as well as physically.

“The best way to get fit for football is to play football.

“I think we have got a very expressive group of players and when we are training I want them fully focused with no distractions.”
