KEITH CURLE - 'RYAN WATSON IS AN EXAMPLE OF PLAYERS WANTING TO JOIN OUR ENVIRONMENT WHERE PLAYERS CAN IMPROVE'

Keith Curle was pleased to add former MK Dons midfielder Ryan Watson to his squad last week, and says his arrival shows that players are keen to join the club as it is an environment where they can improve.

“Ryan is technically and tactically everything I am looking for. He can be a possession based midfielder but he can also get on the front foot and operate in the final third," he said.

“We want him to be a forward thinking player and the one thing he can add to his game is more goals. I think we can get the best out of his technique in the final third.

“We want to be known as a team that operates in the final third, when we do get the ball we want to be an attacking threat and I think Ryan can open doors for us. He has got a good range of passing and he is a very accomplished player.

“He is another block we are putting in place and he fits in nicely with the personnel we have got in the building.

“He knows the club and he has got good memories of his time here and he is another player who has that hunger and desire for us to further his development and be part of a club operating at the right end of the division.

“He wants to be involved in the environment we are trying to create and that is big for us.

“The new training facilities up at Moulton are taking shape and we want it to be an environment where the players want to come to improve."
