Keith Curle made a big impression on new signing Alan McCormack as the midfielder revealed in his first interview after signing for the club.
“Keith made a big impression on me,” he said.
“He spoke about how he wants to play, where he wants to take the club and in my eyes it’s going to be a club fighting for promotion.
“When you get into the habit of winning things you want more and I want more success.
“It ticked all the boxes for me and in the end it was a pretty easy decision.
“The all round package of the club was good and I like the way Keith spoke about not only how he wants the team to play but about how he wants to train Monday to Friday and how he wants the dressing room to be run. For me one of the biggest things I look at is players discipline.
“It’s a good club and I think the fans here can make a lot of noise. I’ve got some good memories of playing here and hopefully by the end of the season I can have some more to go with a promotion.
“The last two years have been incredible and I want to keep that going. I’m not getting any younger and I want more promotions.
“When I do finally retire I want to have as many stories and promotions to be able to tell the kids and I feel I have a chance of achieving that success here.
“In football you can’t guarantee anything but the one thing I did get from the club is that they are doing everything they possibly can to build a squad to try and get promotion. I want to be a part of that and hopefully we can achieve that success.”
