Do you have a proven track record in supporting people into employment or education? Are you passionate about enhancing people’s opportunities in life and making a difference in the local community?
The Northampton Town Community Trust is a pioneering charity that uses the unique appeal of Northampton Town Football Club to deliver activities that connect our communities and improve people’s lives.
Due to the expansion of our education provision, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate, enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team in the following position:
• Employability Officer
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about supporting people in their journey into employment. The employability officer will provide opportunities for people not in education and training (primarily targeting those aged 16-24) in Northamptonshire to access training and work experience to enable them to gain the skills and confidence to move closer to or gain employment.
The post holder will therefore have a broad range of experience in building relationships with individuals from a range of backgrounds, alongside an ability to build and maintain relationships with employers.
Why work with us?
We know that people are the key to us achieving our mission – and that’s why we look after our dedicated team. We believe that everyone on our team should grow as the organisation grows – and we do that by encouraging constant learning and development. We know that if we invest in our team, our team go the extra mile.
Benefits
• Access to bespoke CPD and training from our partners including the Premier League, EFL, Northampton Town FC and the FA.
• Pension Scheme
• Free Gym access and other local partner discounts
• Free tickets to NTFC matches
• Career progression opportunities
• Performance related incentives package
Are you eligible?
We’re looking for someone with a track record of supporting individuals to move them closer to employment or education. The role will combine project delivery and project development offering an exciting role. Alongside developing partnerships with local business and NTFC to place participants in meaningful work experience opportunities, you’ll also get involved in the delivery of the employability and traineeship programmes too. The post holder will need to be flexible in their way of working to adapt and support the varying needs of learners, many of which would be defined as ‘hard to engage’. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference within the local community and to the lives of young people. This is not a 9-5 job and the participants you work with at times will be challenging, however the impact you can make can be life changing for them and extremely rewarding for you. Experience working within the education sector is advantageous but not essential.
All eligible candidates must have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle too.
