KIERAN SCARFF TO LINK UP WITH DARREN FERGUSON AT PETERBOROUGH UNITED

Academy Manager links up with former manager

19 July 2019

Academy Manager Kieran Scarff has left Northampton Town to take up a new position with Peterborough United.

Scarff has made the decision to team up again with Darren Ferguson, who he worked with at both Doncaster Rovers and Peterborough United previously.

Northampton Town have already appointed a replacement for Scarff, that person is currently working their notice at a Championship club and an announcement about that appointment will be made upon the completion of that notice period.

"We thank Kieran and wish him well," said Chief Executive James Whiting.

"He has a strong working relationship with Darren Ferguson and he wanted to take the opportunity to resume that relationship.

"From our point of view, we are delighted that we have been able to make an excellent appointment, and we can confirm the identity of our Academy Manager in the next few weeks when his notice period at his current Championship club has been concluded.

"We have made a number of other Academy staff appointments over the summer which we will confirm in the coming weeks and along with the appointment of David Kelly as our new Development Coach, I am delighted with the strength, knowledge, quality and depth of the coaching team at all levels throughout the club."
