Cobblers boss Keith Curle says most of his squad will play a part in Saturday’s opening pre-season fixture at Sileby Rangers, kick off 3pm.
“We will have a balanced squad of youth and experience,” he said.
“It’s important we get minutes into the players and most of the squad will play a part on Saturday.
“There will be rotations but we will try and make sure we keep the right blend out there on the pitch.
“The players have come back in very good shape but they are not football fit yet and as I’ve said I believe the best way to get fit for football is to play football.
“The pre-season games we’ve got are going to be very competatititve and we are going to be tested. There will be demands and challenges put on the players and that’s what we want.
“Some managers have a different perspective on pre-season but I want to challenge the players right from day one.”
