KEITH CURLE WITH A TRIALIST UPDATE AHEAD OF BRACKLEY TOWN TEST

The Cobblers boss looks ahead to Tuesday's trip to St James Park

23 July 2019

Cobblers boss Keith Curle has provided an update on trialists Curtis Yebli and Robbie Simpson ahead of Tuesday night’s pre-season fixture with Brackley Town.

“Curtis has done very well for us but I’m just looking for a slightly different blend of midfield player,” he said.

“I spoke to Curtis on Saturday and at the minute I’m not prepared to progress that one.

“It was good for Robbie to get fifteen minutes on Saturday and he is still working on his fitness programme.

“Alan McCormack is progressing really well and hopefully he will be involved in the game on Friday. He had a very minor issue with his hamstring so we took the chance to close him down for a while and have gradually been building him back up.

“The players have been taking a lot of technical and tactical work on board but our main aim is to make sure we have a good competititve squad available for selection for the first game of the season.”“
