Cobblers boss Keith Curle is looking forward to welcoming Premier League opposition to the PTS Academy Stadium on Saturday.

“It’s great to have a Premier League team coming here and it will be another great challenge and test for the players,” he said.

“I want to see the team exposed and challenged, how we adjust and what our decision making is like.

“Our main aim is to make sure that come August 3rd we have a competitive squad available."

Curle has also provided a fitness update on Charlie Goode, Alan McCormack and Reece Hall-Johnson as well as the latest on Junior Morias and Billy Waters.

“All three are field based training, two of them may play 45 minutes on Saturday depending if they have any reaction," he said.

“Junior and Billy have both been made available and we’ve had some interest.

“Both players have continued to work extremely hard and their attitude has been excellent. If an opportunity arises for them to further their career and get more game time, and the move suits us, then we will look at it but if they don’t move on and the window closes they will be in contention to fight for a place in the team.”
