Cobblers boss Keith Curle has spoken about the ongoing recruitment work to progress and improve the squad.
“The recruitment process doesn’t stop and we are still in negotiations,” he said.
“The process started not long after I got to the club and it won’t stop. Every day we are looking for potential improvement.
“We’ve brought good characters into the building and there will be bonds and friendships built over the coming months but team spirit really comes together by winning games.
“We need to make sure the changing room understands the staff mantra that we are trying to put into place. The players we have signed have the licence to express themselves in the right areas.
“We are always looking for progression and within that there will be players here who realise that they won’t be able to get the game time they want and if those players want to move on we will do our best to fix them up elsewhere.
“We want to grow and we are looking to create an evolving environment that is constantly looking for improvement. We will outgrow some players and some players will grow with us.”
