KEVIN VAN VEEN RETURNS TO SCUNTHORPE UNITED FOR UNDISCLOSED FEE

Keith Curle says move suits all parties

2 January 2019

Kevin van Veen has left Northampton Town to return to Scunthorpe United for an undisclosed fee.

Van Veen made 35 league appearances for the Cobblers in his year long stay and scored seven league goals, three of which came from the penalty spot.

"Kevin was keen to make the move and we think this suits all parties," said manager Keith Curle.

"I have spent the last few months assessing the squad to see what we have and where we need to look at things.

"For us, the squad was not balanced enough for the energetic style of play we want to produce and so there will be movement both in and out over both this transfer window and in the summer to allow us to address that balance."
